First let's discuss the reasons why creating your own information product can be so profitable online.
1.) You get to work for yourself. Most people hate working for someone else (i.e the corporate world), but online you can work for yourself with no other employees to hassle with. This isn't to say that your business can't be more profitable if you do work with someone else in the form of a joint venture, but the fact is that it's not absolutely necessary.
2.) You can automate everything. By selling a product that is downloadable that you wrote you're making virtually 100% profit on that product because it probably didn't cost you anything to make it.
3.) You don't have to worry about THOUSANDS of start-up costs like you would with an offline business. Most people incur some costs like a domain name, hosting, an autoresponder, and perhaps some graphic, page design, etc, but usually it's all under $200.
4.) You can work from anywhere you have a computer and internet access. You don't even need to waste gas and drive down to the office. You can wake up at noon everyday and work if you want. Don't be confused though - you do have to put in the work to succeed and generate solid profits. BUT....
5.) And this is my favorite part about creating an information product online. You get paid while you sleep. People all over the world can buy your product from the comfort of their own homes and once you've done the work you can earn money from it OVER and OVER. Once you've created the product you can sell it for as long as people are buying it. The work you do for one product lets you obtain money over and over again.
I'll add to this thread soon w/ how and what you want your info product to be and in what form. It will be included in this Volume 1, but I have some other stuff to take care of this afternoon.

You can get hosting inclucing a domain name from Dreamhost.com for $22 a year if you use FREETRAP as a discount code, I got an excellent autoresponder script free that installed on my Dreamhost account very easily, my Graphics I do myself with a copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 2 I got on Ebay for less than $20, the actual PDF file I create in Open Office with a free template and they are online to download free.
If you're less than creative you can get a Private Label Rights package for around $5 - $7 and get a good head start.
My point being it can be done for WAY less than $200, like closer to $50 and if even that's a stretch, use Gimp for the graphics and save another $20 or a free hosting account if it comes to that and you're willing to see some downtime or slow responses.
Then if you look at this and say I don't have any money at all, then you can get online and earn enough by posting in Forums that will pay for your participation and get started free. |
