There's countless ways you could do this and I'll touch on a few and maybe that will help some.
1.) Adsense - let's face it, this is what most bloggers are doing and why the originally start a blog. I think adsense is an okay deal because Google doesn't except stuff and you really do have to have decent content to get accepted and their can't be any incentive for clicking ads, etc. But you'll have to have good traffic to get may CTR with adsense.
2.) Affiliate Programs - You can sign up for affiliate programs such as click bank and then review some programs, etc. If you're knowledgeable about your products then you're likely to get some sells and in turn a nice commission.
3.) If you have a popular blog you could sell adspace to your blog as well.
These are just a few of the ways, and there are some profitable blogs out there, but I imagine they're few and far between. |

Are we talking the $100 dollars it costs to get a check or are we talking MONEY because depending on what time of money you're talking about it depends. If you're talking about having 3-4 content-rich blogs and generating fairly reasonable streams of income, then chances are you DON'T make money. It takes someone that's very savvy at either writing their own or borrowing the RIGHT material for their blog and then getting high amounts of targeted traffic to their site so that their CTR is high to get the most amount they can per click (If we're talking adsense).
If we're talking affiliate products you're looking at people who write phenomenal reviews and use paid article submitters to get their info out to a large # of sites with link backs to their particular blog and then see similar to what applies above.
As far as advertising... be Willie Crawford.

| I had a website on the net and it cost about $40 dollars for the hosting. I made $100 from the ads so it does pay back...just not very quickly! |
